Esin's Neocities!

Welcome to my Neocities! I'm Esin. I make a lot of things, from drawing to coding. This Neocities site is dedicated to all the stuff I learn, make, and do.

Shoutout to @zilodak on Twitter for making me make a Neocities (and also a Strawpage). Here's their Neocities, if you want to check it out.

My comics

Here is a fun fact: Before Esin Comics, there was MagentaSplash Comics. MagentaSplash Comics was the label I published my Reddit comics under (MagentaSplash is my Reddit username, that's why I took up MagentaSplash Comics). I tried to make a little series named "Oliver Chante" under that label, and later made "The World of Esin", an anthology series. You know, of the Reddit random comic strip type. You can see the earlier designs/versions of Little Miss Allison Blue characters in some of the strips, plus the old versions of some of my other OCs. Once I started making comics for Webtoon and other actual comic platforms, I took up the label Esin Comics.

Little Miss Allison Blue

The first comic of the Esin Comics label. It's a historical drama set in a fantasy universe (named the Codingverse) that started on November 16, 2021, on Webtoon, and later branched to 5 other platforms (Tapas, GlobalComix, Inkverse, ComicFury, and NamiComi).

Currently, it's paused as I'm working on a reboot. I'm planning to start the reboot on November 16, 2024, the comic's 3rd anniversary. It will be available on the 6 platforms the old version is on, alongside that I'll upload it to Drunk Duck as a 7th platform.

LMAB is about Allison Blue, a 9-year-old British girl who relocated to the countryside due to World War II, living with her father who is present at home only on Sundays as he overworks himself to try and break Enigma in Bletchley Park. Allison isn't supposed to know about that, but she learns anyway, and decides to help her father and his colleagues, all while, you know, living through a war.

Turing's Antalyakart

The second comic of Esin Comics that I (sort of) hesitated to reveal the title of until now! It's currently work-in-progress, and I'm planning to release it on February 20, 2025. While it overlaps in terms of topics and maybe even characters, it's set in a universe that is completely separate from the Codingverse. In different words, Turing's Antalyakart isn't related to Little Miss Allison Blue in terms of shared universe stuff.

TurAnt is pretty much a scientific-political shtipost comic. If you want a more "formal" genre definition, I'd say its genres are political comedy and alternate history with a little sci-fi and slice-of-life sprinkled in. The easiest way to explain the plot would be "Alan Turing is somehow alive in the year 2024 and is trying to fight bigotry and a version of his own creations that is rotten by capitalism (aka the AI bubble), and goof around Antalya, Turkey while doing that (he temporarily moved to Antalya since Britain as a whole is pretty much a shithole, and Turkey is a little bit more bearable in this situation)." It's actually much more than this but the core of the story can be explained in that way.

My YouTube channel

I have a YouTube channel named Esin's Corner of Randomness. I created it on July 25, 2018, the channel's name being my full name, and uploaded my first video 2 days later on the 27th. It actually wasn't my first channel, I had a channel also named my full name, and I made videos in Turkish. I think I started it in 2016 or 2017, but later on I deleted it to start fresh, and then created what was going to become ECoR. The difference from my first channel was that I was going to make videos in English instead of Turkish. I changed my channel's name to "Esin's Corner of Randomness", the name it has now, in October 2021. And as of August 2024, Esin's Corner of Randomness is still up and active!

In my channel, I make art, commentary, gaming, coding, and STEM and humanities videos, plus I make memes and fun stuff. I livestream as well, mostly art streams!

My magazine collection

I like to read and collect (and archive) Turkish magazines, mainly literary magazines but I also buy and read other types of magazines. I periodically buy Kafkaokur, Kafa, Ot, Ayarsız, Bavul, Bilim ve Teknik, and Sadece Şiir. I also have some issues of #tarih and a few issues of some other magazines.
